COUPLES THERAPY

Couples often find themselves stuck in the same unhelpful patterns – reacting defensively, shutting down, or getting swept up in blame – therefore small disagreements can spiral into hurt and disconnection. Couples therapy provides a structured, neutral space where you and your partner can pause those automatic reactions and learn to see one another’s perspective. With the therapist’s guidance, you start to identify the underlying emotions and unmet needs that fuel your conflicts, gaining clarity about what really matters to each of you.

How we work together?

As Gottman Certified Therapists, we use research-based methods to help you and your partner learn to share your thoughts and feelings in ways that invites understanding instead of defensiveness. In our sessions, you’ll practice structured conversations that teach you how to express your needs clearly, listen with genuine curiosity, and respond with empathy – so disagreements becomes an opportunity for growth rather than a trigger for conflict.

Overt time, these evidence-based tools become second nature, transforming the way you manage conflict both in and out of the therapy room. You and your partner will discover practical strategies for de-escalating arguments, repairing ruptures quickly, and rebuilding trust through intentional acts of kindness and appreciation.

Beyond resolving conflict, we will also focus on deepening your friendship and intimacy; rediscovering shared values, creating rituals of connection, and celebrating the strengths that brought you together. The result is a partnership grounded in mutual respect, open communication and long lasting emotional closeness.

What to expect in our sessions?

Each couples therapy session lasts 55 minutes and provides a structured, compassionate environment to tackle challenges like communication breakdowns, trust issues, intimacy concerns, infidelity, and rebuilding long lasting emotional connection. You and your partner will work side by side guided by evidence-based Gottman interventions to explore your concerns, practice new ways of talking and listening, and learn practical exercises that foster understanding and repair. By the end of each session, you will leave with clear insights and actionable steps to strengthen your connection and navigate conflicts more effectively.
